I’ve been crazily busy this March!

sculpture in progress

10 sculptures came pouring out of me this month! I had tons of fun exploring a new technique I learned from Arthur Gonzalez and Esther Shimazu: pushing from within, instead of adding from the outside. (Well, okay, so I did add some.) It’s FANTASTIC (and a bit unsettling) to watch their faces literally emerge from the clay as I’m pushing out the nose, eyes, lips, forehead… It has been like watching clay come ALIVE.
